Exercise Option 1: recommended from Leo brand 5

  • Monday to Friday: Training is divided into two ice sessions of 45 mins and a 60 minutes dance or off-ice session/day

Exercise Option 2: recommended from test free 1 and basic 1

  • Monday to Friday:Training is divided into two ice sessions of 75 minutes and a 60 minutes daance or off-ice session/day

Training times are from 08.00 to 21.00. All skaters can apply for a place at the camp, but if many applications, skaters from Leo brand 5 will be given priority. In order to have groups with the same level of knowledge, carefully complete the application forms correctly. In order to get the groups as even in knowledge as possible, we reserve the right to place skaters with coaches who have not been stated as desired. Groups may be changed after the coach has seen the skaters on ice.

Basic test training


Depending on the number of people interested, we will offer a training session before the basic test. The level will be from Grund to Basic 4. We will be offering two sessions lasting 30mins/week. The sessions will be from Tuesday through Friday.

Swedish Figure Skating Tests

We will be offering test sessions on Saturday 4th July. The exact times will be specified later. If you are interested in taking a test, please fill in the application form for which level of test you would be interested in. 

Our coaches

Alexander Majorov Sr (ice)

Alexander has been an elite figure skater in the Russian national team and has been coached by Alexej Mishin. He has 5-year coaching university education and was a top trainer at the school of Olympic Reserve in St Petersburg. Among other things, he has trained Olympic gold medallist Alexei Yagudin (Salt Lake City, 2002). Alexander received the Russian government’s medal for his commitment to figure skating. Since 1990 Alexander has been the head coach for Luleå KK and also trains the Swedish national team. Alexander speaks Swedish and Russian.

Alexander Majorov Jr (ice)

Alexander Jr participated in 9 European Championships, 8 World Cups and 1 Olympic Games. Alexander has been a reigning Swedish champion for several years in a row and also has many medals from international ISU competitions. After finishing his skating career in 2019, Alexander began to run his own projects in figure skating with trainings and lecturing parents, trainers and skaters - Arctic Tour which Alexander has toured with the longest throughout Sweden. In parallel with this, Alexander works as a physiotherapist for the Swedish Figure skating Association, but also as a masseur and personal trainer in Luleå. If you are interested in a different, rewarding, inspiring and strengthening workout, I warmly welcome you to a summer that you will remember for a long time to come.

Svetlana Banova (ice)

Svetlana has been a coach for 30 years. She has a coaching education from Russia and a further education as a physiotherapist from Sweden. Svetlana has been working in Sweden since 1996, and she also has experience as a figure skating coach in both Norway and Germany. Currently, she is the head coach at VFKK (Gothenburg) and a physiotherapist at Sahlgrenska.

Clara Callne (ice and off-ice)

Clara Callne carreer in skating comes from Luleå Figure Skating club and she has been coached throughout by Alexander Majorov. During this time she has taken medals in regional competition, youth national level competitions and Junior national level competetions. Following her carreer in competitive figure skating, she has worked as a professional skater on två of Royal Carribeans cruise ships. "As a coach at Luleå Figure skating club and now at Umea's skating club, I am looking forward to contributing with my knowledge and experience but most of all to being able to share the enjoyment and love that I feel to this sport" says Clara.

Irina Majorov (Off-ice / dance)

Irina is responsible for floor exercises specifically adapted for figure skating, which includes dance, ballet, strength, Callanetics, Pilates and composition. She has a 4-year education as a dance teacher and choreographer as well as further educational courses from SKF, SOK and ISU. She was previously a choreographer at the school of Olympic reserve in St Petersburg. Currently, Irina is a coach at Luleå Konståkningsklubb and teaches ballet at Luleå Rytmik & Balettförening. She speaks both Swedish and Russian.

Katjaana Kanninen (ice and off-ice)

Katjaana come from Finland, but has lived in Sweden to study in a coaching program focusing on sports medicine, psychology and physiology at Umeå University. Training and coaching is a big part of her everyday life and future career. She has done figureskating in Finland at national and international level up to the SM juniors. After her skating career, she has continued to be active in figure skating as a coach but also as a skater! She coaches figure skaters in the Umeå Figure Skating Association alongside studies. During the spring before the camp, she will work as an intern in an Olympic training center in Finland where she will work with athletes from most sports in different ways.

Ice Rink and Sports hall

Training takes place in Sunderbyn approx. 10 km from Luleå centre, which is a quiet, scenic village close to the beach and local shop. Local buses go directly from the sports facility into town several times an hour. The ice rink and sports hall are situated close to each other. 

Alternative accommodation 

Sunderby folkhögskola (immediately adjacent to the camp lodgings)  - This is a hotel standard hostel adjacent to the camp lodgings.

Mark payments with name + camp + what the payment is for (registration fee, camp fee, food, accommodation)

  • Pay in the registration fee by 2020-05-15. Pay in good time to be sure you have a place at the camp. The order of priority depends on the day that the registration fee is paid into the account.
  • Pay in the camp fee by 2020-05-31. If the fee is not paid in time the camp management have the right to give the place to another ice-skater. Pay before to get early payment discount.

 Cancellation

The application is binding, no refund of the registration fee. If you cancel after 31 May, until start of camp. 50% of the camp fee will be refunded if the cancellation is due to, illness or injury (to be certified by a medical certificate). We urge you to review your insurance company's rules.
